What are Almonds?

Almonds were originated from Iran and other south Asian countries where they first grown and also these nuts are associated from peaches which describes that it is covered from outside with layer. The fruit of almond is drupe that is fleshy coat of fruit with central core consists of seed. They are eaten raw, roasted  and even added in various salads including various other foods. Also, source of natural oil produced from raw almonds is use in various ways. The oil of bitter almonds is used in manufacture of flavouring extracts for foods and drinks. According to research there are almost 25 types of almonds grown in different parts of California, Marcona ,Spain and Greece.

Description ;

Almond trees are average height like 3 to 4 metres with hard trunk they bear flowers from January to April which produce five petaled with white and pink colored flowers and attraction to various insects. The flowers grow into peaches which after shed their out outer shell and nut comes out in form of almond.
